Environmental journalist Simran Sethi will discuss the challenges in food production and distribution as well as the role trust plays in assuring food and agriculture are safe and sustainable. Interactive and interdisciplinary, this event will reflect on trust through the lenses of psychology and journalism. The talk is an invitation for participants to explore an embodied experience of trust in food and agriculture.
Simran Sethi is an award-winning journalist, strategist and educator who teaches and reports on sustainability, environmentalism and social media for social change. Named “the environmental messenger” by Vanity Fair in addition to being listed as one of the “top ten eco-heros of the planet” by the UK’s Guardian, Sethi is dedicated to redefining environmentalism in a manner that uses innovative forms of engagement and includes voices from rural communities as well as urban centers.
