A series of electronic music performances, organized in collaboration with SALT and Red Bull Music Academy, Scattered Sounds launches with a performance by İpek Görgün using fixed media and live electronics in the Walk-in Cinema at SALT Beyoğlu. With their latest EP release “Yetunde” in early 2015, a performance by Fuji Kureta duo Şahin Kureta and Deniz Öztürk will follow.
İpek Görgün is currently a Ph.D. candidate of Sonic Arts at ITU-MIAM. Görgün was bass player and singer for Bedroomdrunk between 2001-2013 and was also a participant of the 2014 Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo, where she was part of the opening act for Ryoji Ikeda’s Test Pattern No: 6 and improvised live with Otomo Yoshihide.
Fuji Kureta is an electronic pop duo by Şahin Kureta (music-programming) and Deniz Öztürk (lyrics-vocals) who have been creating music together since August 2008. After the release of their album “Andrey” in June 2014, their latest EP “Yetunde” was released in early 2015.
